What to send us

The number stamped on the old part is the quickest route. If it has worn off, the engine or genset model and serial number usually gets us there. Photos help more than descriptions.

We cross-check whatever you send against the OEM catalogue and confirm the match with you before anything ships.

About this range

A standby set sits still for weeks and then has to crank on demand, so the charger matters as much as the battery. It floats the battery at a steady voltage to offset self-discharge, and boosts at a higher rate to bring a run-down battery back without cooking the electrolyte.

The charger's voltage has to match the set's starting system, 12 V or 24 V, and on most chargers that is fixed in hardware rather than switchable. Getting it wrong means either a battery that never reaches full charge or one that is slowly destroyed.

Tell us the system voltage and the battery capacity in amp hours, and whether the charger is panel mounted or standalone. Float voltage should be set to what the battery maker specifies, and we will say what the unit is set to before it ships.
