Electronic timer

Electronic timers used in genset starting and changeover circuits. Send the timer's model number and the function it controls.

What to send us

The number stamped on the old part is the quickest route. If it has worn off, the engine or genset model and serial number usually gets us there. Photos help more than descriptions.

We cross-check whatever you send against the OEM catalogue and confirm the match with you before anything ships.

About this range

Timers do the counting in a start sequence. A crank timer limits how long the starter is engaged, a rest timer waits before the next attempt so the starter can cool, and an overcrank timer gives up after a set number of attempts and raises a fault rather than flattening the battery.

On older panels these are separate plug-in modules. On modern controllers the same functions are settings inside the unit, which is why a replacement is sometimes a timer and sometimes a controller with the timings configured.

Send the number off the timer and the base it plugs into, along with the supply voltage. Timing ranges vary between otherwise identical looking modules.
